We will pick you at you hotel in Samana or Las Terrenas and take you to this unique Excursion to the National Park Los Haitises and the Bacardi Island Cayo Levandado. You will reach the Port of Samana and go accross the beatiful Samana Bay by boat for a breathtaking joerny of aprox. 40 minutes to get to the secluded National Park "Los Haitises".

At the National Park you will be able to enjoy the view of different national birds such as Pelicans, Vultures and Swallows and others. We will visit interesting caves and caverns where our guide will show you original Petroglyphes which were left behind by the Taino Indians and which date back to around 3000 years.

We will also explore the magnificient Mangroves of the National Park Los Haitises by boat and you wil see its beautiful landscapes. After staying for about 2 hours discovering the National Park we will then head to the famoui Island "Cayo Levantado" which is the original Bacardi Island photographed for a campaign in the 1970s.  Although the famous swaying palm from the ad has since been uprooted in a tropical storm,  others still line the white sands of this stunning Island on the Samana Bay.

You will be able to enjoy the beauty of the Island which for sure will be the highlight of this beautifu day trip. The beach of the Island is open amidst hundreds of palm trees, turquoise clear waters and a mountainous backdrop. Here you should try a real and delicious Pina Colada with rum right in the pineapple!

It is on this Island that you will enjoy a typical and tasty lunch of fish, chicken, rice and salads in an amazing Caribbean setting. After allowing you to experience the Bacardi Island we return by boat back to our air conditioned buses and depart to your hotels in Samana and Las Terrenas.
