We pick you up at any Resort or Villa in Juan Dolio/Boca Chica on a sporty open Safari Truck for a day trip that will allow you to experience the real Dominican Republic and an eye-catching Waterfall.
This day trip is a must for those wanting to see another side of the Dominican Republic away from the resorts. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking landscape as our expert English speaking tour guide introduces you to the real Dominican life, local traditions and customs.
As we head north deep into the Dominican country side, we will pass through the vast sugar cane fields common to this region. During a stop at these plantations, your guide will pull out his machete and cut a piece of sugar cane for you to try.
We will make an interesting stop at the small and picturesque town of Bayaguana where you’ll go for a walk through a colorful public local market which offers a big and fresh selection of all kinds of typical products like fruits, vegetables, spices & flowers.
Our Fun Truck Safari will allow you to immerse yourself into the incredible beauty of the Dominican countryside with its lush tropical vegetation, exotic trees and plantations.
We will even visit a typical Dominican country house where you will be able to experience real Dominican hospitality. Here you will also be amazed at how these people are so happy with such a simple life.
During our trip you will also learn about and taste several genuine Dominican products: cocoa, tobacco, coffee, and also Mamajuana (which is considered a natural aphrodisiac). See a chocolate tree and taste Dominican organic chocolate!
We continue through picturesque little villages and magnificent tropical hills to a spectacular waterfall called “Salto de Sierra de Agua”, where we will shower and swim in its incredible crystal clear water.
We will then arrive at our typical ranch for a delicious Dominican buffet which includes a tasty traditional stew called “Sancocho”.
Relax to the sounds of nature as we return to your hotel and our English speaking tour guide makes sure that all your questions about history, flora, fauna and/or local customs get answered.
