We set out from Punta Cana International Airport for a scenic flight to the city of Samana where the green mountains teem with coconut trees and dramatic vistas of the ocean. We will land in the Arroyo Barril airport from where we will start a safari truck for a wonderful adventure. Get ready to go across the countryside and see Samaná up close.

The beauty of Samaná lies in its simplicity. Here is where immaculate beaches serve as the threshold to vividly colored coral reefs while cool fresh water cascades through lush forests. The Samaná Peninsula is the ideal destination for nature lovers.

Although the beauty of Samaná is legendary, its history sounds more like a fairytale! Christopher Columbus landed on the island in 1492 during his voyage of discovery of the New World. but the area was not populated until 1756 when people began emigrating here from the Canary Islands. Samaná soon became a hideout for pirates. Later, Napoleon Bonaparte came into possession followed shortly after by the freed American slaves.

Discover the amazing Dominican countryside passing by its rural roads, magical locations for photographs of the most exquisite flora of the Caribbean. Visit a typical Dominican house where you will see diverse organic fruits and will have the pleasure of tasting fruits of the season directly at the plantation.

Expirience the predominant green of our flora and the magic of our typical colors. We will visit the town of Limon, where our typical Rancho is located. A short ride on horseback through the woods leads us to the mountaintop where we can appreciate the unique view of crystalline waters of the El Limon waterfalls.

The tilted portion of the way which goes down to the El Limón waterfall must be covered by foot, it is made by reinforced steps and has fence on a side for the safety of the walkers.

El Limon is one of the most spectacular waterfalls of Dominican Republic. It rises 900 feet above sea level, and cascades 150 feet into a deep pool of water. Located deep in the woods it is something of an adventure to reach. Once you reach the Limon Waterfall, take a dip in it's refreshing waters, take in the scenery, and enjoy a truly unforgettable experience.

Our journey takes us back to the Rancho and then to the Samana pier where we board a Catamaran bound for the Bacardi Island, Cayo Levantado the Bacardi dream island. Known for its fantastic beach where the bacardi commercial was filmed, this small island in the Samana Bay is the stuff of legends, apparently linked to bounty hunters and treasure. Here await us a dream beach and a fine lunch prepared on the island and served at tables set up in the open air for you to take full advantage of the sun and sea.

After leaving the Bacardi Island we bring you back to the Arroyo Barril airport for the flight back to the PUJ airport and drive you back to your hotel.
