Day 1 Itinerary: From Santo Domingo to Barahona
We will depart from the designated Meeting point or Hotel in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo and head departure towards the fascinating the deep South of the Dominican Republic. Along a mesmerizing coastal road and just passed the city of Bani, the road will lead us through scenic and stunning mountains with a dry and rocky area full of cactuses and agave.
We will then reach the Bay of Neiba and the capital of the province, Barahona. Crossing the city, you will take the coastal road to the south, with lush mountainous landscapes of tropical climate and valleys of abundant vegetation, consisting mainly of fruit, forest and timber trees and spectacular panoramic views over the coast and the Caribbean Sea, until you reach to the small town of Paraíso where Rancho Don Cesar is located, and where you will be greeted with natural fresh juices and a typical lunch. Activity Larimar workshop in the afternoon where in addition to receive all the information of the process of transformation of the stone of Larimar, each one will work in the making of his own small jewelry in Larimar and take it back as a souvenir …

DAY 2: Paraíso – Bahia de las Águilas (90 kms) – Santo Domingo (310 kms)
Come and discover the Jaragua National Park, considered the largest in the Dominican Republic and especially its spectacular beach “Playa de las Aguilas”. The bay was names like this, because of the eagles who were taking refuge in this area.
This beach is considered as one of the most beautiful in the Dominican Republic. The climate is very dry, and the vegetation consists mainly of cactus and other desert plants. The sea is calm, and a delightful wind helps you to not suffer too much from sun and heat. Be a “Robinson Crusoe” for a day in this entirely ecological, natural and totally unspoiled spot.
